Bio
Spencer Reed began developing his love for electronic dance music at the early age of 14. Spencer has always had a passion for music. From childhood Spencer has played many instruments including trumpet, bass guitar and his favorite the drums. You can say that there is very little time in his life where he is not listening or playing music of some sort.
Shortly after Spencer became a regular club goer and was attending dance clubs and parties all over developing a list of his favorite DJ's. To Spencer the music was not just music there was something more. It was a spiritual thing and these sounds really grasped his soul on different level. Eventually he decided that it was in his destiny to create this music he loved so much.
Spencer decided to go out and and buy 2 vinyl turntables and a mixer and spent hours upon hours at home learning the basics or Dj'ing. As things progressed he reached to some Dj friends of his to help develop his skills. Soon enough Spencer was playing endlessly for friends and private parties but he never imagined to be playing in clubs.
Finally when a promoter and friend of his who heard him playing around at home suggested he played for his party things took off rather quickly. In as short as year he has played all over the United States and is now taking his Dj'ing internationally.
A true connoisseur of the underground Spencer try's to stay away from commercial music and top radio hits as much as possible. His true sound is definitely hard and dark tribal house. You will also hear the sounds of deep house, progressive and even some vocals but always layered with percussion. Recently as spencer has explored the sounds of the German underground techno scene he has found a new love for dark, minimal techno. Which has definitely become a huge influence as he is trying to incorporate the sounds of techno and house music together.
For Spencer the passion for DJ'ing came from the love of house music and the energy of driving a dance floor. As his career develops and he becomes one of todays top Dj's he promises to stick to his roots and never loose his true sounds and style. Spencer Reed will continue spreading his fierce beats all over the world, taking over one dance floor at a time.
